I usually don’t pay much attention to my blog stats; as it turned out, I kinda forgot that I have the WordPress app on my Samsung Galaxy tablet and noticed, as I was deleting apps I’m not really using, that it was there. So I open it up – the user interface is quite different than their version for iPhone/iPod/iPad and, yup, down there in the lower right-hand corner is a ‘button’ for stats.
I thought, “Oh, yeah, I guess I should look at this, huh? and tapped it and, well, it’s rather informative and I’m thinking, okay, this is nice (I guess) and I scrolled down and saw the Tags & Categories section, with the sub-heading, “Most popular topics you’ve written about” – and saw that the number one tag/topic is… oral sex, followed very closely by bisexual sex (close enough to make oral sex smile nervously), and with gay sex comfortably in third place.
And I thought, “Oh, damn – what does this say about me?” I actually found this to be kinda funny since it seems I’ve only used the “sex” tag nine times as opposed to the “oral sex” tag a whopping twenty-six times. Then again, I’m all for writing about stuff that might make some, ah, straighter people start whistling in the dark even if oral sex is something they enjoy.
That bisexual sex and gay sex are second and third doesn’t surprise me a whole lot, not just because they’re two topics I have some first-hand knowledge of but, again, they’re two topics that tend to make some people uncomfortable and I’m not beyond ‘reminding’ the world at large that not only do bisexuals exist (ah, what a revelation) but we’re just as much into sex as straight people are. I’ll write about the pros and cons, the misconceptions and the stereotypes, as well as share with readers my joy, not only in whatever sexual act I’m talking about but because I consider myself to be sexually liberated – and grown up enough – to talk about these things without reservation or shame.
Ain’t got time to be ashamed of myself in this and, yeah, I want other bisexuals to know that they don’t have to be ashamed either.
Because if you’re passionate about something, why not talk about it? And if reading what a guy has to say about the thrill of eating pussy or sucking a guy’s balls dry bothers you, well, you’ve come to the wrong blog. I even asked myself – again – why I spend so much time writing about these topics in particular and I keep coming up with two answers: One is because I can; the other is, well, somebody has to. Like Nate said in his blog about WordPress jacking him up about his blog being “mature,” we need people to talk about sex so that we can better understand this thing we just love to do. It’s not pornography, such as it is; it’s me and a few other people just calling it as we see it because if you think you’re too old to be educated in such things, make an appointment so we can talk about the rock you’ve been hiding under.
And while there are plenty of people here on this site who do, in fact, enjoy the sex acts I’ve tagged so many times, I’m the guy willing and able to tell you just what’s on my mind about it.
Just wanted to share this little tidbit with you…
