When you get done reading this, I’d like for you to look down the right side of the page and take a look at the blogs I follow and, yeah, it’s quite a list… but bear with me for a moment.
These are blogs that are written by people who have no shame, real fears, tells it like it is – none of that politically correct bullshit that tends to make people appear to be wimpy and wishy-washy. They’re in your face with their views, can be sultry, sensual, poetic, and downright raunchy as they share their lives, their thoughts and feelings with anyone who dares to read.
It’s really cool being surrounded by such diversity. You read their stuff enough and you get to appreciate their humanity, that big-assed pool we all have to share with each other but something that we rarely have time to truly appreciate. They’re funny, thoughtful, philosophical, irreverent; they rage against the machine, laugh at all the lemons life likes to throw at us as well as cry, lament, regret, and engage in flights of fancy and whimsy.
They’re creative and motivated; some of them, I think, are wonderfully weird because they dare to do things in their lives that would make most people piss themselves just to think about it. They love, they lust, their desires and even their failures are right there for all to see; they are selfless in their sharing.
We pass around the awards and, while this is a good and proper way to acknowledge each other, the best thing that any of us, as readers, can do is to not as much praise them as we can thank them for being brave and daring enough to share themselves with us.
And I do thank each and every one of the people whose blogs I follow even those folks who didn’t make the “Blogs I Follow” list; just because the page has limitations doesn’t mean that your offerings have gone unnoticed or unappreciated.
They’re entertaining and informative, giving you not only known facts or revealing things that you either didn’t know or have forgotten because in their own way, they understand that knowledge not shared is worthless; you get to see life through their eyes and experiences, getting to know them while also understanding that you may never be face-to-face with one of these magnificent bloggers – and, really, they share so much of themselves that you feel like you’ve already met them and have known them for a long time.
We are all the same in that we are bloggers; yet, we are still so very different and while I cannot and would not dare speak for any other blogger on this site, I do very much appreciate the diversity.
We are human… and if you care to read what we write, you can see that and gain your own appreciation of them. Look at the blogs I follow and if there’s someone there that you aren’t following, do so; they are all worthy of whatever time it takes to read their stuff.
Just wanted to put this out there, to show my appreciation for your efforts…
