I want to begin this first writing of 2014 by giving much love, props, and respect to my baby, Linda, who not only means so much to me but has been very instrumental in helping me live as normal a life as I can post-stroke.
Without her love and support, I don’t know how I could have made it through the rough times; she’s encouraged me, sometimes badgered me to do something I didn’t feel like doing, and has supported me in so many ways.
And I can never do enough to thank her for all she’s done for me and all the things she’ll do going forward. She’s taught me that when you have a stroke and you’re doing your best to recover from it, there’s no such thing as too much support; there’s no such thing as too much love or too much compassion and Linda gives this to me in spades.
And she’s certifiable, which only makes me love her more! So, my darling, here’s to you and yet another year being with you and I look forward to continuing the adventure with you; we may not really know what 2014 has in store for us or where in the world we might wind up… but I know we’re gonna keep having big fun!
