I don’t usually write about politics but one can’t help but notice that we – the US – have been having a few issues with Russia ever since the Olympics in Sochi, issues that some pundits are saying could be a prelude to another world war and with Russia as the target… and I’m kinda wondering just why in the name of God are we raising so much hell and slapping on sanctions over what appears to be a matter of internal Russian politics?

Just wanted to say a few words about this because as crazy as shit is in the world today, this issue makes things dangerously insane…

I think when it involves other nations, like say, Ukraine, it’s no longer a matter of internal Russian politics.

I haven’t been up but long enough to start the coffee so bear with me if I make no sense. You can ask me to clarify, if I sound like I’m half asleep.

We signed a treaty with Ukraine to be their ally and to defend them against all enemies. Just like we did with Israel, The U.K. Canada, and some other countries. This creates a two edged sword in various ways. One, if an ally is in trouble, we, by oath, are supposed to go to their aide in any way we can, including by military might. Two, if we do not defend our allies, it makes us look like wimps, and worse, liars. And, we all know that the US government loves to look powerful and honest in the eyes of other countries even if they don’t give a flying rats ass how they look to Americans. They also love to put on a military show, regardless of who ends up hurt or killed. Why do you think they call it ‘in theater’ when speaking of our people’s actions in a war?

We cannot afford another war, especially one that involves Russia. The problem with us fighting with Russia and her our next door neighbor is that it puts American civilians at risk of injury or death over what many call an internal issue, even though technically it is not really an internal issues, as such, being that Ukraine is her own country. It would be a civil war just like Viet Nam had with Viet Cong way back when, with our people being killed over something we should have kept our noses out of. That statement contradicts itself in a large sense but most Americans would call it a civil war for various reasons. We do not need involved in any civil wars. Russia is friends with our sworn enemies, including Iran, whom anyone can believe their propaganda if they want but, we all know that Iran is not enriching Uranium for electricity.

Then there’s North Korea, which is ran by a total nut-job, and who threatens to wipe South Korea off the map, and SK, are our allies, so we are supposed to defend her as well. Then there’s China. Yeah, we do a lot of business with them but, when it’s all said and done, they are not what our government considers our friends and allies. And, we all know that if push came to shove, they would side up with Russia, N.K., and Iran. When we consider the Mid-East alone, we have enough enemies to have a major world war.

As far as Russia goes, I think Obama is going to make push come to shove because he says things he shouldn’t, makes his own threats and, no matter what anyone thinks of Putin, Putin will not put up with it for long. All the sanctions we have put on Putin and Russia do not mean a hill of beans to Putin or the Russian people. The sanctions we put on Iran and the Persian people do not mean anything to that nutcase, either. And. N.K doesn’t care about sanctions, either. Might as well pull the trigger [or push the button] for either one for all they care. I am a b it worried that we may be seeing martial law and mushroom clouds before the year is out.

I do not want to sound like a conspiracy theory nutcase when I say the things I do but it is always wise to look at ALL sides to every story and every situation, and to also consider what might happen. It’s also wise to make like a Boy Scout and ‘be prepared’. I am thankful I live where I do and not in a metropolitan area. There are things I hate about small town living but for now it’s probably the safest place to live, especially when it’s in the mountains.

True but it can also raise awareness if done properly.

Oh yeah, let’s not forget Japan. After the recent threats to her that is another ally we have to consider in all this mess. And, also lets not forget our South American enemies, who are all buddy buddy with Russia, China, NK, and Iran…So, keeps your eyes and ears open.
