No… Hell no…

16 Jun

Just saw a picture posted on one of my nieces’ Facebook page with a dude wearing a dress, matching hat and earrings… and that is just so wrong.  See, drag queens I get; transvestites, I get… but for a man to put on a dress as some really fucked up fashion statement?

And the dude isn’t exactly what I’d call good-looking, making it even worse.  Check him out and please tell me what the fuck is going on!

Some time ago, I saw an article where some male celebrities were wearing dresses and I thought, okay, publicity stunt or something like that… until I kept reading and saw that it’s no stunt – dudes are now sporting dresses as a new fashion statement and I thought that, shit, some of the dudes being named in the article don’t look good wearing a man’s clothing… so you can imagine what they’d look like in a dress – oh, like the brother in the picture.

“The Miz” showed up on Monday Night Raw a week or so ago wearing a hooded dress and, well, I laughed because he looked ridiculous and I’m just trying to figure out how this is even as masculine as its being touted… because I sure as hell wouldn’t wear a dress even as a joke.  To me, this just set being manly back a very long way and, yes, I will apologize to any cross dressing men out there for my words but I even get that… but I don’t get this at all.

I’d rather walk around with my pants hanging off my ass and letting y’all see my underwear before I put a dress on to make some statement.  Seriously, if you’re gonna dress like a woman, at least try to look like a woman (no offense, ladies) instead of, sweet Jesus, a dude wearing a dress.

Shit, bring back the zoot suit, bell bottoms and platform shoes that’ll make your nose bleed from the “altitude” – but not this fashion travesty!  The thing that gets me is that there are a lot of dudes who are rabid about their sexuality and to see them as anything other than straight can get you fucked up… but someone thought it’d be cool for men to wear dresses and you just know what someone’s going to think, right?  Is the guy in the picture gay?  A cross dresser with zero shame in his game?  Fuck me, if I ever did some shit like this, I’d expect to have my sexuality seriously questioned… and I’d really need to have my ass soundly kicked, too.

I respect the rights of others to go to hell in a hand basket of their own making but I find it hard to respect a man wearing a dress just because he thinks it’s hip and trendy…

You got alot of personal bias going on here. What does it matter what someone is wearing if they’re comfortable in it, and they’re covered? After all, Scotsmen wear kilts.

      Yep, sure do – and a kilt isn’t a dress…
