Six Years

31 May

Yesterday marked my sixth anniversary as a blogger here on WordPress!  When I saw the notification I thought, “Oh, yeah, it was May when I first signed up…” – then blinked to see it was six years ago.

Wow, time flies, doesn’t it?

To all who follow and/or read and comment, thank you for making my blogging experience a damned good one.  I’ve met some interesting people, have learned a lot of things and, I hope, have provided sage and timely “advice” for all of you I’ve interacted with over all this time… and for many more years to come, God willing.

I think back to the day I read my friend Cinnamon’s blog and she said that after reading some of the things I’d posted on a site we both belonged to, I should sign up with WordPress as well and write for the whole world to see… and I’ve never regretted the decision to sign up and share what I know with anyone who cares to read about what goes on inside my head at any given moment.  Yeah, there have been some moments when I seriously thought about giving this up for various reasons and I’m glad that I didn’t; every time I’ve said to myself, “Eh, it’s time to stop writing about this and that…” I found that being able to sit down at the computer or open the app and either starting reading the blogs I follow or get rid of something that’s been bouncing around in my head to be rather addictive and so much that I had to learn not to get upset when I had nothing to write thanks to writer’s block or couldn’t think of a comment that made a lot of sense.

Thanks again to all of my blogging buddies for coming along with me for the ride!  The seat belt sign is off and you’re free to move about the cabin as we continue our journey to unknown destinations and fueled by the power of words…
