Caught this in an RSS from down south: http://www2.timesdispatch.com/news/2012/may/07/canadian-man-arrested-chesterfield-child-sex-charg-ar-1896947/.
Pedophiles must really spend more time thinking with the little head than the big one. I’m pretty damned sure that this is a problem in Canada just as much as it is a problem everywhere else in the world so how is it they don’t know that the easiest way to catch a pedophile is to get online, sell yourself as being a kid, invite them to where you are for sex… and then the task force running the sting can pounce?
What, do pedophiles not believe in, “If it sounds too good to be true…”?
There’s a bit of humor in this in that we are advised to tell our children to be very careful about where they go on the Internet because there are predators out there – but the predators need to be told – again – to be very careful about where they go on the Internet because there are police officers out there just waiting to arrest them…

You don’t hear much about offenders getting chemically castrated; I think the ACLU had something to say on the subject (I’m thinking it was cruel and unusual punishment) and in a couple of cases I read about many years ago, it worked on one offender, didn’t do squat with another. I recall a story where an offender volunteered to be chemically castrated – don’t know what happened to him after the fact.
I was just amused to see yet another offender fall for what’s becoming one of the old tricks in the book!
